Art Camp with Michelle Yamamoto

Join Michelle Yamamoto, Hood River New School’s Fine Arts teacher, for two exciting summer art classes designed for tweens and teens entering grades 6–8 in fall 2025! Each class runs for two hours per day over four days. Students can register for one or both sessions. All supplies are included.

Dates: August 18–21 (Monday–Thursday)
Location: Hood River New School, 220 Clearwater Lane, Hood River, OR 97031
Class Size: Limited to 12 students per class session
Cost: $200 per session or $440 for full day (including lunch hour supervision)

🎨 Painting for All
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
This class is open to painters of all skill levels—beginners and experts welcome! Students will explore layout, design, and paint mixing techniques and create their own original acrylic painting on canvas.

🖊️ Comic Art
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Perfect for budding illustrators with some drawing experience. Students will be introduced to comic book layout, design, and storytelling, then create their own comic strips using pencil, pen, marker, and colored pencils.

🍎 Extended Day Option
Students enrolling in both classes may stay on campus for supervised lunch from 12:00–1:00 PM for an additional fee. Extended day campers should bring lunch, snacks, and a water bottle.
