Gorge Winter Gear Swap

The Gorge Winter Gear Swap is an annual event that raises money for the Hood River High School Alpine, Snowboarding and Freestyle Team.

Friday night the 7th of November the teams set up for the swap the community brings in their items they want to sell and Saturday is the day of the actual swap.  There is an admission fee of $25 for a family/person.  The money raised is divided equally between the three teams.

The Alpine Racing Team does gets some support from the district but the money raised helps purchase equipment such as helmets for racing and travel for state championships when they qualify.  The other two teams are club teams so they are supported by parent funding and the money raised at the swap.
